The big news that we had the joy to learn by accident today at Hall campus at the going away party for a coworker at LtC, was that Virginia Yancy, former business office account specialist is going to be named the Colleges new official “Registrar”.

We wish her the best. Maybe it will be a new beginning for that department. It reminds me of when the F.A office was able get The VA specialist to quit and restore some calm and balance.

With little to no experience she is getting close to pay raise 3x what she makes now. For some of us who have been working at #lanierTechnicalcollege for almost 10years, it’s 2x what other people make now.

Why is it that the terrible employees who do nothing but gossip, back stab, lie and take credit for the hard work of others that seem to be the only ones who succeed. Why are those same people the ones who all make 80/$k and up a year while instructors and cubicle workers have to wait for “rebate” cost of living handouts from the government?

It’s just like the title says. All of this is proven and can be backed up with an FOIA request to Lanier Technical College or State of Ga Title XI office in Atlanta.

Why was Mandy Richards the former Lanier technical College registrar given the option of resigning instead of facing discipline for her violation of a consensual sexual relationship with a subordinate. She threatened intimidated and slandered a fellow coworker who is able to prove everything she counter claim was false and completely untrue. We watched as she tried everything to not get fired only to then “resign” When the final title IX report released on August 3. She was gone by August 11. That’s not a coincidence.

The President of Lanier technical college actually excepted her resignation all while knowing she had already been found guilty of having a sexual relationship with someone she had undue influence over. Namely a subordinate who she threatened with losing his job if he went to HR. Who then did nothing. It’s important to note that no member of the administration has even reached out to the person she falsely accused. But yet they sheltered her gave her free legal advice and let her work from home for over a month. This behavior should not be tolerated it and it’s a excellent observation of how easy it is to be cast aside from a click at Lanier technical College.

Mandy J.Richards- FORMER REGISTRAR FOR LANIER TECHNICAL COLLEGE was given the option to resign on good terms in lieu of termination for inappropriate work place behavior and relationships with co-workers.

This prevented any action being taken against her which included threats against a subordinates job, False legal accusations and slander. All of which was proven to be false and outright lies.

Mandy J Richards did not quit bc she wanted to. She chose to resign to keep Lanier Technical College on her resume.

This was written so that what she has done won’t disappear. It’s not right that we have to watch one of our coworkers struggle with no one being able help them bc of office politics.
